Position Profile:

  • We are currently seeking an experienced dispatcher to join our Hamilton team
  • This dispatch position will primarily be responsible for all aspects of our Highway transportation planning and driver dispatch, ensuring maximum efficiency with profitable route planning with additional responsibilities for local Truckload and LTL dispatch coverage
  • The dispatcher will have daily interaction with drivers and other operations personnel and report directly to the Dispatch Supervisor while working in conjunction with the Transportation, Safety & Compliance and Fleet Managers
  • This is a fulltime position. Tentative work hours are 5 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday with after hours inquiries as needed

Responsibilities include:

  • Overall planning, scheduling and dispatching of freight in the most efficient and effective manner
  • Managing and dispatching of drivers to ensure on time delivery of loads as well as overall customer satisfaction while maintaining safety and compliance with all Ministry of Transportation and Department of Transportation rules and regulations
  • Managing of equipment resources to ensure required equipment is at the needed customer location at the needed time
  • Satellite trailer tracking through in-house software
  • Data and order entry as needed
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with customers
  • Working alongside key personnel to obtain overall company success

Candidate Profile:

  • Previous transportation dispatch experience
  • Previous experience with TMW Truck Mate dispatch software and knowledge of Ministry of Transportation and Department of Transportation rules and regulations preferred
  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to embrace and learn new software and technology
  • Organized, highly-motivated and results driven individual with strong problem-solving skills and a positive disposition
  • Is a strong team player while also having the ability to work alone or independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

AZ Company & Owner Operator drivers - Afternoon shift, Caledon, Ontario yard

Position Profile:

  • Local Company & Owner Operator drivers needed immediately for our afternoon shift working out of our Caledon Ontario yard
  • Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday
  • Start times are 2 - 4 pm, 10 - 14 hour shifts
  • This is a permanent, full time position; steady year round work
  • Full training and orientation provided

Position Duties:

  • Pickup and delivery of full 53’ trailer loads
  • Complete daily pre-trip, post-trip and vehicle inspections reports as required by MTO regulations
  • Comply with all MTO driving rules and regulations as well as with all company policies and procedures
  • Complete all paperwork as required

Candidate Profile:

  • AZ license, preferably 1-2 years tractor trailer experience, however newly licensed drivers will be considered
  • Excellent safety record; Clean CVOR and a clean driver abstract
  • You must be well organized and possess excellent customer service and communication skills
  • You must be reliable, punctual and ready for work when needed
